The Turn2U Scholarship Program provides educational scholarships to children and dependents of The Last Mile students and alumni, helping the next generation pursue college, vocational training, and career opportunities that can change the trajectory of entire families.
Education changes trajectories.
Across The Last Mile’s education and reentry programs, more than 75% of returned citizens secure employment after release and fewer than 8% return to prison.
The Turn2U Scholarship Program extends that work to the next generation by helping children and dependents of our students pursue higher education, career training, and economic mobility.

FUNDED BY A COMMUNITY
INVESTING IN THE FUTURE
The Turn2U Scholarship Program is made possible through the generosity of Louise Redlitz, whose belief in education as a pathway to dignity and opportunity continues to guide this work, and The Last Mile founders Chris Redlitz and Beverly Parenti, whose vision for breaking cycles of incarceration through education created the foundation for this program.
Today, that vision is carried forward by a growing community of donors, partners, and supporters who collectively invest in students each year.
